Old School RuneScape: 5 rarest pets to obtain

Old School Runescape remains one of the most played MMORPGs despite being based on a game that was released in 2007. While players spend countless hours of their precious time developing skills, playing mini-games or defeating bosses, they can sometimes happen to an absurdly rare item, a pet.

Pets are a mini version of bosses or animals allied with skills that will accompany you as your new little companion on your journey through Gielinor.

God Wars Pets

The bosses of God Wars are no joke, they used to be some of the toughest content and continue to cause sadness to the same players over the years.

All pets are 1/5000, not in combination with how difficult they are all - especially the Kree-arra and K'ril Tsutsaroth, who are some of the rarest acquired pets in the game. Remember that every time you leave and then want to re-enter the boss's lair, it also requires an ecumenical key from Wilderness God War's Dungeon or you have to kill 40 followers from each domain. Corporeal Critter/Pet Dark Core - Corporeal Beast

A pet rare in the game, the Corporeal Critter (or Pet Dark Core if you choose to make a metamorphosis) has a 1/5000 chance, which doesn't even mean that this beast is considered by many to be the toughest boss around old school Runescape.

To kill him, it is recommended to take a team of up to five with you, because with too many, he can even heal himself. Even with a party of five, it takes a long time to defeat this boss, which is why he still leaves some of the most expensive items in the game, including the Elysian Sigil, which can reach up to 1,000,000,000 OSRS gold on the Grand Exchange.

Jal-Nib-Rek / TzRek-?uk - TzKal-Zuk

Jal-Nib-Rek (or if you want to transform, TzRek-Zuk) is your best chance to complete Inferno and defeat its main boss TzKal-Zuka.

Inferno isn't a funny thing as it's by far the hardest Old School Runescape content, and people spend hours completing it to get the Inferno Cape. The only reason Jal-Nib-Rek isn't taller is a 1/100 chance (or 1/75 in Conqueror's Quest) after completing Inferno, as well as being able to trade that beautiful Inferno Cape for another 1/100 chance.

Bloodhound - A chest with scrolls of the clue master

By far the rare pet you've ever seen in the game, let alone owning yourself, is Watson's Bloodhound.

Getting one of these adorable puppies is no mean feat, with a drop rate of 1/1000 from a Master Clue chest. The Master Clues are some of the toughest content in the game, requiring you to complete large tasks, high skill requirements, and expensive and hard-to-find items to complete many of their steps. This puppy really is the cutest and rarest Runescape boy.

Queen of pet penance - the attack of the barbarians

The pet is rarely seen, and for good reason. Pet Penance Queen is the best show in Old School Runescape.

The Pet Penance Queen can only be earned by placing a high-stakes bet at the Barbarian Assault. The high stakes bet requires a wager of 500 honors, and you and your team must successfully complete each wave and kill the Queen of Penance at the end to qualify for the prize.

A full Barbarian Assault game can take as little as 30 minutes, and after high stakes and success, there is still only a 1/1000 chance of walking away with the real queen.
